Keukenhof - 75 years

Apr 15, 2024 5:04:35 PM • Author: Rolf

Keukenhof, also known as the Garden of Europe, is one of the world's largest flower gardens, located in Lisse, Netherlands. Each spring, the park opens its doors with its millions of blooming flowers, with a special focus on tulips. The park attracts visitors from all over the world and is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.

For visitors, Keukenhof, in collaboration with Arriva, offers a combination ticket that not only grants access to the garden but also includes transportation to and from Keukenhof by bus. This makes traveling to Keukenhof a hassle-free experience for both local visitors and international tourists.

The combination ticket is made possible by TapConnect. By linking external barcodes to a public transport entitlement, TapConnect enables transport providers to easily define products that facilitate seamless connections between events like Keukenhof and public transportation.

Arriva has successfully applied this technology at events such as the Venloop and now at Keukenhof, allowing visitors easy access to both transportation and the event itself with a single ticket.
